Where subfloor conditions and building regulations permit,
tretford
can be cemented directly to the floor.
tretford
can also be installed by the
double-glue method. (Glue pad to floor surface and glue
tretford
to pad).
A third acceptable option would be to install
tretford
over low-profile padding by wall-to-wall tackless- strip method
with the following cautions:
1) Use shortest pin-tack available.
2) Mount tack strips as close as possible to wall line.
3) Since unitary backing will not stretch, use
knee-kicker to position
tretford
only.
Padding should be flat and of minimal thickness. Ripple padding
is not recommended.
Seaming can be done by conventional tape seam or hot melt
method.
